Une machine de suremballage sous film rétractable regroupe et protège des produits en lots grâce à un film thermorétractable chauffé en tunnel, pour le transport, le stockage ou la mise en rayon. Utilisée en agroalimentaire, boissons, cosmétique et logistique, partout où il faut conditionner des lots homogènes rapidement. Le prix va de 5 000-20 000 € pour une operculeuse manuelle d'occasion à plus de 80 000 € neuf pour une ligne automatique avec tunnel intégré. Durée de vie de 10 à 20 ans, le tunnel de chauffe et le système de soudure film étant les éléments nécessitant le plus d'entretien. Nécessite une alimentation électrique adaptée, un approvisionnement en film rétractable, et une intégration avec le convoyeur en amont et en aval de la ligne.
