Le prix va de 1 000-6 000 € pour une raboteuse d'occasion de taille moyenne à plus de 30 000 € neuf pour une raboteuse industrielle haute cadence. Durée de vie de 20 à 25 ans, les fers/couteaux de coupe étant des consommables à affûter ou remplacer régulièrement. Nécessite une alimentation électrique adaptée, un système d'aspiration des poussières, et un espace suffisant pour la manutention des planches.
