Durée de vie de 15 à 25 ans, la meule et la broche étant les éléments nécessitant le plus d'attention et de remplacement régulier. Nécessite une alimentation électrique adaptée, un système de refroidissement/lubrification pour éviter la surchauffe, et un environnement propre pour préserver la précision.
